   Really liked this sofa cover until I washed it. It shrank over 4 inches and in some places 6 inches. So now, not only is it too short, it’s uneven. Sure do miss the days when manufacturers washed fabric before cutting and sewing.

   Bought this for an overstuffed couch from my landlords garage. It is on the large side, but still within the stated dimensions. I put the cover on, and it didn’t cover the back completely, but it fit nicely in the front, so my husband and I decided we could live with it and shoved out sofa right up against the wall. It’s 100% cotton, so it is going to wrinkle, totally expected. I absolutely must tuck after every sitting; I’ve added rolled up magazines and a swimming noodle to the sides and back, to no avail, but I expect slipcovers to slip…it’s in the name. The first time I washed it, it clearly shrank. Now the couch is straining at the arms, and won’t tuck in between the back and the arms; it looks like the hulk right before he burst out of his shirt. It gets two stars, one for actually being a slipcover for a sofa, and another for being the right color.

   This is an attractive couch slipcover and I have no problem with its looks. However, I’ve owned the thing less than 1 month, washed it exactly once, and the seam at the front of the armrest has already started coming apart. I hand stitched it this morning, hoping to get some more life out of it until I just go buy a whole new living room suit.
